Flames too much for Bruins in a 4 – 0 loss

After going on a 3-game winning streak, the visiting leaders of the Pacific Division, the Calgary Flames, proved to be too much for the Boston Bruins. The Flames delivered a decisive blow to the bruins, winning the game 4 -0 on Sunday night.

before the Sunday’s game at TD Garden, everything seemed to be going rather well for the Bruins. Boston won its last 3 games, all with 5-2 victorious score, and hopes were high at the arena last night, despite the high-quality opponent the Bruins were going to face. The Flames scored once in the first two thirds, closing off the final with another two goals. Meanwhile Calgary’s goalie Dan Vladar made 27 perfect saves to completely shut off the Bruins. Jeremy Swayman made the exact same number of saves, alas he had to pull the puck out of his net four times last night. Flames forwards Backlund, Gaudreau, and Mangiapane all scored one a piece, with defender Hanifin scoring the fourth.

The disappointing loss on Sunday led to the Bruins dropping down to #5 on the Atlantic Division table with a 9-6-0 record. Boston will be traveling to battle the Sabres on Wednesday.
